When built the lighting system employed 96 lights on the top of the pavilion with a total candlepower of 14,000. Strip lights were located on the side and for foot lights.

All registered participants in the dog walk
receive a bandana for their dog.
Proceeds
from the dog walk benefit The Preservation of
the Roxbury Park Bandshell and Memorial Medical
Center’s Pet Therapy Program.
The Fourth
Annual Bandshell Bark begins with a stroll down
the Red Carpet and continues along a route
approximately 2.5 miles (4 times around the
park) on a relatively level ground at Roxbury
Park on Franklin Street.
The walk ends
with the Finish Line Festival complete with dog
contests, food and refreshments, dog photo
opportunities, and vendors of pet merchandise &
services. Employee groups, teams, and clubs
are invited to participate together for the
special group rate of $100.00 for six walkers.
Please note that only six registered walkers
donating greater than $35.00 each will receive a
t-shirt. Teams of six donating more than $200.00
will receive t-shirts for all six members.
GUIDELINES No more than
two friendly dogs per person. All dogs at the
park must be registered to walk. Participants
under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a
parent or guardian or have signed a release
prior to the event. Dogs must be kept off the
sports fields in the center of the park. Please
join in the walk only if you and your dog can
comfortably go the distance. Exit the walk route
at any time and join the event festivities. Use
a six-foot (or shorter) non-retractable leash.
Make sure is licensed, has current ID tags, and
is up to date on required shots and be prepared
to clean up after your dog.
